1. Song(s) must be a non-commercially released
original song. By this we mean: you are/have not been
compensated by someone else for the release, writing,
or publication of the song. If you have released the
song, say on your own CD to sell at shows and on your
website, the song would be eligible.
2. Co-written songs are assumed by SongPrize.com to be
the sole work and responsibility of the entrant.
3. Songs should be no more than 5 minutes in length.
Songs exceeding 5 minutes will be judged on the first
5 minutes of play time.
4. Enter as many songs as you like.
5. Entries submitted via mail will not be returned
(Please do not send your only copy)
6. Songs will be judged based on
Creativity/Originality/Structure/Melody/Lyrics...and
adherence to Rules! Judges can and will change at the
discretion of SongPrize.com. Decision made my
SongPrize.com judges are final!
7. Entrants agree that if their song is a winner of
any prize in the contest, SongPrize.com and any of our
affiliates will have the right to publicize the
winners names and likeness, and reprint the winning
songs and lyrics (See #8). By accepting the prize,
winner releases SongPrize.com of any and all liability
regarding prizes awarded. All warranties and
performance of services promised are the sole
responsibility of the sponsors providing such service.
8. Entrants retain all publishing rights.
9. Entrants agree to release SongPrize.com and any of
our affiliates from any liability. SongPrize.com is
not responsible for lost, damaged, corrupt, or
problematic entries.
10. Deadline for entries is posted on the main page.
All subsequent entries will be placed in the next
contest. SongPrize.com reserves the right to extend
the competition if necessary.
